Welcome! We are excited to offer the Texas Tribal Buffalo Project (TTBP) Ranch Tour! We're thrilled to have you join us at our ranch nestled in Waelder, Texas. Spanning 77 acres, our ranch is divided into the East and West pastures, where you'll encounter 20+ majestic American Buffalo. At TTBP, we're committed to revitalizing Texas indigenous culture and agricultural practices by reconnecting with the buffalo, which have long been integral to our heritage. Duration and Parking:
Tours typically last between 60 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Parking can accommodate up to 15 cars, 1 school bus, or 2 short buses.
Tour Outline:
Arrival: 5-10 minutes. Drive up, Parking, Waiver Check ins.
Introduction: 5-10 minutes. TTBP history, safety precautions, and general housekeeping.
Walk to Pasture: 5-15 minutes. Explore the area, identify plants, and understand the buffalo tree rub.
Activity: Identifying and finding wallows, buffalo hair.
Regenerative Agriculture: 10-20 minutes discussing how buffalo work the land, visiting the pond, and feeding the buffalo.
Wrap Up: 5-10 minutes for comments, questions, visiting the meat shop, and gathering belongings.
Booking and Capacity:

Tours are available for groups of 4 to 10 individuals or groups of 10 to 30 people.
Outside animals are allowed on a leash only.
Waivers:
All visitors must complete a waiver form before arrival. Click here to complete Waiver.
Restroom Facilities:
We are a new ranch with limited facilities, unfortunately there is only one bathroom and our ranch is not ADA equipped. We highly advise that all visitors use the restroom before arriving . Suggested nearby areas for large groups is Buccee’s located at 10070 I-10, Luling, TX 78648
For groups exceeding 60 participants, there will be additional fees incurred due to resource limitations.
For individual tours, there are a few additional options;
Autumn Sunset Tours. These exclusive tours, available to private groups of at least 4 people or tickets, offer the opportunity to savor an Indigenous Gourmet Meal onsite for an extra $50 per person, with seasonal add-ons also available onsite.
